I am a longtime owner of the KAB4 model from Northern Brewer and while I love the burner itself, I hate the touchiness of the valve. I can never seem to find that nice happy medium during my boil. It seems that I have to fight it to get anything other than zero surface agitation or a big rolling boil. With the former, I worry that I am not technically boiling and effectively killing what needs to be killed. With the latter, my evap rate and propane usage goes sky high.

Has anyone upgraded the valve that comes with their Banjo burner and if so, what did you use? Mine has the 30 psi regulator right now. I was considering going to this

but I'm not sure if I will still need a valve for this. I have a question in to Bayou Classic, waiting a reply. Anyone else have any luck with any other valves?
