I’m in west Texas now. I’d like to try my hand at hop growing. Neomexicanus is probably my best shot. Any preferred vendors? Tips?
Cheers

I looked into Great Lakes when considering neomex. They were friendly and helpful over the phone. In the end, I wasn’t willing to pay the shipping to CA for a hop experiment.

I ordered 5 plants. We’ll see how they do in west Texas…
Hops need lots of water and sunshine.
Not sure how they fare in excessive heat/low humidity conditions.

Check with Texas A&M - Agricultural Extension for tips on hops growing.

My hops came in the mail this morning. I’m hoping to get them planted tonight or tomorrow. They threw in a free one!
Thanks Great Lakes Hops!
