I'm looking for a high quality, long stem (12+ inches), waterproof thermometer, preferably one that is instant-read like a Thermapen. Thermoworks has some long-stem thermometers but they don't appear to be instant-read.
I use for 90% of my temp measurements. The long stem is nice because I can stick it through the lid and the probe can still reach the mash or water in the kettle. If it's the right length the probe sits pretty much in the middle of the kettle so it gives ideal readings.
