When bottled (750ml, screw top), crystal clear

when inspected, little white flakes dancing in wine

Something wrong? Residuals?

Solution - refrigeration to drop sediment to bottom and drink?

I've had that happen. Figured I bottled too soon. Currently have two more batches aging in carboys ... both past two months. Racked oldest one off the lees and into another carboy.

Also possible I might have stirred the lees up in my excitement to bottle my first batch

Time will tell.

The first batch, by the way, is almost consumed. The flakes all slid to the bottom when we put the bottles into the fridge to chill.

Also helped to carefully decant the apfelvine a few hours before drinking.

I'm pretty sure it was just suspended lees that caused the flaking.
