I just got my LG pump and I am having a tough time threading the inlet on this. I tried a brass hex nut, and that wouldn't thread. I first tried a plastic quick disconnect, http://www.brewmasterswarehouse.com/product/0101728/polysulfone-disconnects-garden-hose-female
and that didn't work.
The only thing I got to work was a quick disconnect that I had for my garden hose, http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=100659315&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&PID=500871&cm_mmc=CJ-_-500871-_-10368321&cpncode=17-63323367-2&AID=10368321&cj=true&srccode=cii_9324560&locStoreNum=3601&marketID=45
Do you think that these disconnects will be safe to use? I cannot find a temperature rating, but I'm leaning towards them not being okay since they were marketed for the garden hose and its normal operating temps.
The rubber gaskets on these quick disconnects are what I am worried about.
and that didn't work.
