Unfortunately, 1:45 drive, is the closest I could find (Wilmington, NC).

I know the feeling. I used to live within a 45 minute drive of 5 different LHBS's. I moved, and now the nearest 1 is about 4 hours away. I really miss going in to browse and come up with recipes right then and there. 1 of my best recipes I ever made was like that. I was in an LHBS, and decided to make an Irish Red. They were out of Vienna, so on a whim I replaced it with Rye. Came out awesome, even though I'm not a Rye fan. Can't do that when you have to plan it all out and order online.
