Lager anyone?

Anyone have a simple lager recipe? Been looking on the forms but not to much there. Looking for a lager that uses 2 row. Also, what yeast to use. Thanks.

12#'s 2 row Pils(German/European) a little Cara-Pils, all Saaz hops, Wyeast 2001 Urquell

That's simple. I'm going to be making a mock-lager out of this with WLP029 soon.

I just made my first lager (10 gallon batch) with a very similar recipe and the vienna only requires a 60 minute boil. I can't comment on the taste yet, but I have a feeling it's gonna be good

In a million batches I don't think I've ever not had that feeling. Hope springs eternal in the human breast (you can quote me on that). :rockin:

One problem no saaz only found Czech Saaz leaf. Ideas?

Czech saaz = saaz hops.

I was going to use US Saaz b/c of the slightly higher AA content, but those are pretty much the same.
