Can anyone recommend a good way to keep track of your beer after 4-5 batches. I'm thinking label maker but I'm not sure which and cheaper would be better?

Notebook and a sharpie on the cap.

I user serial numbers on 'em.

0101: Recipe #1 attempt #1
0201N and 0201S: Recipe #2 attempt #1 done with Nottinghamd and Safale US-05
0301-A and 0301-B: Recipe #3 attempt #1 done with two different strains, etc.

I label the caps only so I don't have to clean labels off bottles. Use MS Word to create round 1" dia. labels that have my brewery name, date bottled and abv. Print them on a sheet of clear Avery mail packaging label stock, cut them out with a 1" hole punch and stick them on the caps.
