So...I feel like I've read somewhere that the kegs inside a fridge need to be lower than the faucets. Im setting up a system....is this true and why?

As long as you account for the net vertical travel (up or down) of the beer line when calculating line lengths (http://www.mikesoltys.com/2012/09/17/determining-proper-hose-length-for-your-kegerator/) I don't think it matters...

...much: any CO2 that breaks out of solution will collect at high points in the system,
which might cause some interesting pouring if the high points are towards the keg instead of the faucet...

Cheers!
