I used fresh, homegrown Cascade hops in my last brew. (9/11). I just racked to my kegs and I'm afraid I may not have gotten much hop flavor aroma from the hops. (there was some bitterness though) Non conditioned, non-carbed beer always tastes different than final product but the beer tasted pretty good after racking. My question is, now that the beer is on CO2, can I add my hop ball and hops later if I decide I want more hop flavor/aroma? Or will I risk messing up my batch?
I usually clean and sanitize my hop ball, add some pellet hops and put them into the keg. Would I do anything different post carbonation?
Thank for the help.
