I force carbonated my first keg over a week. I used the temperature/pressure table for my proper volume of CO2. After a week, I let it sit for a couple of days in the kegerator with the CO2 removed.
I put about 5 PSI on the keg and served it this past weekend. It came out great. I disconnected the CO2 after that. The beer is now flat.
1. Is this because of the extra space in the keg now as a result of serving the beer?
2. Will I always have to recarbonate the beer if it's not consumed in a single session?
3. Can I avoid losing carbonation by leaving pressure on the keg instead of disconnecting it? Would it have to be the same pressure based on the CO2 pressure/temperature table?
Thanks for any help.
