Saw some other threads on the subject -- so I thought I would document my build as well...
Started Dec 2010.
Concept: Keezer Bar build for a small basement. DIY Concert counter top, 2 tap draft tower, rough dimensions 42" high, 24" wide 52" long.
Materials:
$40 craigslist find - 5.5cu chest freezer - white, in good shape
$58 craigslist find - 2 x 5gal Corney Kegs
$52 Ranco temp controller, added 6ft ext. cord
-- pile of 2x4 lumber and OSB board for bar frame (free)
$159 2 Perlick 425SS tap w/ stainless steel column
$50 craigslist find - almost full CO2 tank with dual regulator - need splitter
Design Purpose:
I have a small half basement, and don't expect to have a need for more than 2 taps. Plus I don't mind bottles too. Would like a small bar with the ability for a couple ppl to sit around it. Wood should match current basement closets wood doors and color. Concert counter top will be a DIY experiment.
