Eventually going for a custom built Keezer but that's years off. Will brew again in a month. Looking forward to a new era haha.
 
Full your gauge will read 800 at room temp. Your psi will be set from 10 to 12 psi for most beers. When you here "purge" the keg you shut off the tank and pull the ring.

I hope your referring to the safety valve ring on the actual keg itself and not the one on the regulator ?
 
Yeah, they were trading brain cramps, as neither was talking about a "shut-off valve", but instead were referring to Pressure Relief Valves.
There's one on your regulator - the valve with the ringed actuator - and if you're using a fully standard ball lock keg there will be a similar PRV on the keg lid...
