Automated systems such as the picobrew z and zymatic use a 5 gal corny to brew in. This chiller fits in the corny opening.

huh...that's what i thought at first, but it looked to big to fit down the lid, and i didn't get the PVC pipe......maybe just for storage....

Oh yeah, sorry - the PVC pipe is a stand. This thing is tall and narrow, and tends to fall over. The stand prevents that.
