Here's the deal. I'm looking for a solid extract stout/porter recipe for under $30. The cheapest kit I've seen is $37 plus shipping. Any suggestions?

$33.50 NB, unless you have your own yeast, then $21.51. You should get the NB emails. Just had some great deals.

Just use your own recipe or find one on here. Dry yeast will save you money. I am so past the liquid yeast stage unless I need it for a certain style. I decide if I want fruity esters or not. Then I select dry yeast. Right now I am brewing everything with S-04. Stout, bitter and Mild style IPA. You can reuse yeast if you sanitize jars and store it in them. I wil buy liquid for a few German beers that I plan to brew.
