So, last week I went to a brew pub and ordered their IPA. And I usually love any good IPA, but this one just hit me like a ton of bricks... It was so hard to drink! The menu said it was 80 IBU at 7ish% ABV and brewed with all Centennial hops. Now, for me 80 IBUs seemed like it was a solid number and I expected to enjoy this beer. Instead it was so bitter, i couldn't drink it! The only thing I could guess is that there wasn't anything to balance out the hops? I'm planning to brew my first IPA soon and I don't want this to happen to my brew! So if there is anyone out there that can explain what was going on with that beer, I'd appreciate it!

Bell's two hearted is an all centennial IPA and it rocks!

Maybe you aren't a centennial fan?
