I am going to be doing my first all grain brew next week and tried out my DIY immersion chiller. It worked great, no leaks. I was curious if you are supposed to just leave the water that goes through it, in it once you are done with it? I tipped it upside down to get as much as I could out, but it's hard to get out. Is there any negative effects of leaving the some water in it?

Just be careful that any water left in the IC doesn't freeze and burst the tubing. You should be able to drain it by holding it upside down and flowing the water out??

I would have to put another hose adaptor on the hot out line because I have it so when hooked up to a faucet the cold drains from the top down. So if I were to turn it upside down and push water through it, I'd have to hook up to the hot side since it would then be on top.
