not really. but i do now have a dedicated brew stand. buddy of mine who is also a police officer used to be a fabricator and apparently still has a really good relationship with his ex-employer. he likes my homebrew, so he said he would build me a stand in exchange for a batch of brew. the best part of it all is that his ex-boss gave us all the material for FREE. the only thing i spent money on was 1 can of high temp spray paint at $8.

i wanted it to break down for easy storage and a minimal footprint. we made the outer legs and two side shelves removable by plug welding some 3/4" tubing inside the 1" tubing so that they will slide into the main section. here it is with the outer legs removed.

here it is with shelves removed for storage mode.

finally, i mounted the pump and switch into a thin panel of sheet metal and wired it all up.

still need to mount burners on the outside shelves and fab up a section for the center to serve as a solid bottom and heat shields, for the cooler MLT that will sit in the middle, seperating the three upper sections.
so, how bad is this for a FREE two hour brewstand build? any suggestions?
