Where it is really freaking hot lately.

I'm a business attorney who loves beer. Recently, my girlfriend suggested I brew my own. So I am :ban:

I have my first batch "in the oven." A Belgian Dubbel. Two weeks in and the gravity is looking good. Tasted the sample and it tastes good so far. Here's hoping that it keeps improving and I don't mess it up with impatience. :mug:

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your brews! As a guy who grew-up just a little outside of Bakersfield I am having a hard time believing it is that hot in L.A. It was 96 here yesterday with 85% humidity, supposed to be about the same today.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first beer...

We are hitting 115 F today in Phoenix...

Yes, it's a dry heat. It's actually only about 85-90, but I'm a baby and consider that "hot." I'm comparing that to the last few months when it was not hot.
