How to seal the plastic bases of my kegs?

How on earth do I clean and seal the black plastic of my kegs? The plastic/rubber leaves streak marks all over the kitchen floor, in my kegerator and makes my hands black.

There is a product available at auto stores called "Back to Black" for polishing black trim on cars. This should remove the oxidation on the rubber bits of the keg which causes all the streaking and marking.

Unfortunately some elbow grease will be required as well

Thanks. Wonder if that will clean it and then some type of polyurethane sealer will seal it up permanently.

I would try the polish and see how long it lasts before going to the extra time and expense of the poly...
