Just wondering, I've found a beer I love, but I'd like to be able to drink more than 1 or 2 pints without being rocked, so next time I'd like to lower the alcohol.

Is there a way to alter the alcohol without changing the taste? Do I just tinker with the sugar?

You could perhaps take whatever the amounts in the recipe are, and dial them back in a program like Beersmith.. Simple keep the same ratios and knock it back a bit. It would water it down a hair, and could change the profile of the beer however from what it was intended to be.

Basically, scale back a bit on the malt extract. But like was said, it could change the taste/mouthfeel of the beer. Only one way to find out.
