So I was brewing last weekend and the strike water drained well. However the sparge didnt wanna drain. After trying to stir the top a little with no luck I decided to stir deeper. No luck. Had to eventually hitting my SS braid so get it flowing again. I noticed the runnings had gone from a very clear very light color(biermunchers cream of three crops) to a almost milky color. I know its not good to boil the grains so Im wondering if this was grain that could cause the tannin off flavor? Whats done is done so Ima drink it either way. Just wondering if I should be expecting this off flavor? though I dont know what it tastes like....just maybe Ill like it!!

RDWHAHB...are you batch or fly sparging, if fly, i would try batching. Perhaps some rice hulls.

Are you sure your braid is stainless and not a plastic imposter?
