2378 + 5 = 2383 Gallons!

I have a second batch rolling, but this time I decided to tweak it holiday style with some brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves.

Started my first batch last night. I used Lalvin k1-v116. I see slow activity this am.

Interesting, I had that one and the EC-1118 but (last night) chose the EC-1118 instead. Let us know how the k1-v116 turns out.

2399 + 2 = 2401

I will report but I didn't add my numbers:

2401 + 5 = 2406

Sounds interesting. How much sugar and how many gallons?

it's a 5 gallon brew in a better bottle.

15 oz. corn sugar, 17 oz. turbinado sugar, and the apple is musselman's cider, which was on sale that week for 2.97. it's still bubbling like crazy 9 days later at 68 degrees. i used pasteur champagne yeast because that's what i had on hand.

2429

I stopped mine early, around 1.010. It's almost too dry. It is really good though

+ 5 (started another batch 2 weeks in)

+ 5 that a friend from work is making

2449

2538 + 5 = 2543 Gallons
No Montrachet yeast at Beer At Home, used Edinburgh Ale Yeast. Thinking about some experimentation with fruit in a couple different 1 gallon 2ndaries. Anybody have a suggestion of a good amount of fruit to use?

Thanks,

Ed's "original recipie" rocks, but I've decided to get inventive and put my own spin on it.

2568 + 6 gallons of Peach Apfelwein = 2574 gallons.

2574 gallons + 5 Cranberry Apfelwein = 2579 gallons.

2579 gallons + 5 gallons "Original" apfelwein = 2584 gallons to date. :)
