For my 10 gallon batches, I like to sparge 11 gal of wort, add 2 more into the kettle for a total of 13 Gal, then boil back down to 11 gal. The purpose of this is that the addition of water will always allow me to compensate for Specific Gravity adjustments. I can add more or less that 2 gal to get back on target. Ive been brewing for years but not using software. I now am using beersmith. How do I load this in??:drunk:

It sounds like what you're asking about is Top up Water. In your equipment profile, there are fields for both preboil and post boil top up water.

If you're doing this on a recipe by recipe basis for gravity adjustment, just click on the red check mark next to equipment in the design view.

Thank you very much! Didn't think of looking there
