I recently went to 10g batches and everything was going ok. I was using a 25' IC with mixed results. It did get the wort chilled, but not fast and not without me having to stir it around.

Took about 45 minutes to get the 11g chilled below 80.

I used my new DIY CFC today and it was awesome. I think the best part is I start the flow through the CFC and sit down for 30 or so minutes. Wort was coming out at a nice 74° and let the wort drop around 3 feet and it was aerated better then shaking IMHO.

I do not like to consider myself a lazy brewer, but its nice to sit back and have a glass while your wort does all the work going into the bucket :)

I highly recommend everyone get one :) its great

Still amassing parts for mine... have my 50 foot coil from Copper tubing sales, just need fittings and hose.

I'm also about half full on my last keg, atleast i have a nearly full keg of apfelwein :).
