I watched a fun documentary on Netflix tonight titled "How beer changed the World" It was a bit tongue in cheek but a fascinating historical perspective on the economic and social effects of barley, water and yeast.

The presence of Tetracycline in ancient beer long before the modern discovery of antibiotics was quite a revelation.

I particularly liked the quote from Ben Franklin (my personal hero) "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" How cool is that? Wish I could go back in time and party with him. . .
 
Ha! I DVR'ed it months ago, and am watching it again right now! :mug:

And, while the Franklin "quote" is cool, it is not totally accurate. The actual quote has to do with rain on the vineyards producing grapes that make wine....but, that doesn't fit on a tshirt! :D
