Hops Question

My buddy ordered these hops http://www.midwestsupplies.com/products/ProdByID.aspx?ProdID=7772 But then noticed that they are only 1.5% I'm guessing that if he wants to use them for bittering or flavor he will need to use 3 times as much. My question is used as an aroma hop the 1.5% does not matter right?

You would have to use a hell of a lot for bittering, but these aren't commonly used for that. You should be able to use them for flavoring, but I have never tried them for that. I know these are wonderful aroma hops. Says they have a nice spicy flavor, so it might be pretty good.

These are generally used for flavor & aroma in moderate gravity lagers. AA% doesn't impact these uses. You could use them for bittering, but Crystal or Mt. Hood would be a better choice. They'd work in a California Common or a Kolsh, again, for flavor or aroma.
