Brewing up a hoppy wheat and was hoping for some critiquing. Don't hold back any punches!

Looks pretty good to me although I'd ditch the carapils and make up the difference with basemalt. Not sure about the pilsner either unless you're using up stuff on hand, 50/50 wheat malt and pale malt is what I usually do.

I agree. I don't really understand why that mix of Pilsner/US 2-row. Just pick one or the other. In those amounts its needless complexity.

Way to much crystal/dextrine and agree with the above statements about pils

go 50/50 wheat, 2 row or even 60/40

Drop the crystal and stick with 1 lb of carapils

Dont use citra for the bittering addition, I'd also FWH with whatever you chose.

Move the 25 minute to 10 or 15 and increase it to 1 oz. Use a large flameout addition 1.5 oz. Id shoot for a total of 30ish Ibus and get most of them from late additions

Dry hop with 1.5-2 oz for 7-10 days.

I just felt like playing with this recipe a bit. You should get enough body from the higher mash temp and the thicker beta glucan rest should help a bit here without affecting body or head retention. Honey malt seems like a more interesting fit with Wheat than Caramel malt.

Thanks for all of the advice! I thought I might have gone too heavy on the crystal/cara. I'll ditch the Pilsner enroute to a 50/50 wheat/2-row, keeping a little carapils.

I love the aroma and flavor from Citra, what would you recommend to use for bittering that works well with that? I honestly just used Citra out of keeping 1 hop variety. EyePeeA suggested Horizon, but I don't have much experience with that.

Thanks again!

It doesn't really matter, use whatever you have laying around. Some people don't like the flavor from citra as a bittering hop. It can be very harsh, not going to play well in this style. An amarillo hoppy wheat is once of my house beers, make it frequently, its a crowd pleaser for sure.
