Thinking of brewing the following recipe this weekend. It's a take on a recipe found on the Mad Fermintationist's website for a hopped-up brown ale:
http://www.themadfermentationist.com/2009/03/hoppy-brown-ale-india-brown-ale.html
Looking for a hoppy beer with a nice malty backbone and some roasty/chocolate notes. I think the fruitiness of the Cascade hops will match well with the sweetness of the malt.
5 gallon extract batch
---------------------
5.5 lb Light LME
1.5 lb Wheat LME
1 lb Crystal 40L
.5 lb English Chocolate Malt
2 oz Magnum @ 60 min
1 oz Cascade @ 10 min
1 oz Cascade @ 0 min
2 oz Cascade @ dry hop
Safale US-05 yeast
Anyway, just looking for some feedback/thoughts.
