Hop spider build - stainless steel, fully adjustable, wing nuts grasp kettle edge, offset to not impede stirring wort. DIY homebrew.

I used 8" M10 - 1.5 bolts, I'd go at least 10" if I did it again though. I have two 5 gallon pots, both of which this fits with very minor adjustment. I'd probably go 10-12" for larger pots- this design is actually quite stable, when it's latched on it doesn't move at all.
 
They are definitely stainless- probably just bad lighting and my crappy phone taking the picture. Cheers!
 
Nice work. Great idea. Did you have a disposal or was the part easy to find?
 
Any hardware store should have it. Relatively inexpensive, but I happened to have it laying around after installing a new disposal.
