I was originally thinking about adding 1lb of honey the power pack porter kit from Midwest but after further research I am now thinking that molasses might be the better option. the ingredients are as follows:

6 lbs liquid dark malt extract
3.3 lbs liquid light malt extract
4 oz. chocolate malt
4 oz. black patent malt
8 oz. caramel 120L

1.5 oz. tettnang hops
1 oz. Willamette hops

for yeast I am planning on using 2 11g packs of Nottingham.

With a moderate dose of chocolate and black malts, plus the large amount of dark extract, I'd just go with honey. There's plenty going on flavor-wise before something like molasses is introduced.
