I bought these paint strainer bags at home depot in prepration for my first all-grain BIAB. I opened the package last night in order to fit it to my kettle (fits great!) but I noticed they smelled... a lot. What is the best way for me to get the smell out? PBW? Boil them for a time? Ideas? Thanks!

I use the same bags for straining hops out of wort when pouring into my fermenter. I just soak them for about 10-15 minutes in Star San.

I use them for steeping grains, dry hop bags, and straining the wort prior to the fermenter. I usually just rinse them with the faucet and the soak in oxyclean or just throw it in the laundry.

Before using I shake it good to get out extra debris (so much easier when dry!) and then dunk in starsan.
