My birthday is next week, just into homebrewing so all I have is the basics and I'd like to expand a little bit. All the aunts and uncles, grandmas and grandpas keep asking what I want... What should go on my birthday brewing list?

if you dont already have them you should get
an auto syphon
bottle tree & vitnator
wort chiller
8-10 gal brew kettle to do full boils
all grain equipment like a mash tun and grain mill
then there are always extra fermenters, hops, extract, and grain

Are you wanting to go all grain or just extract? What "basics" do you already have?

Propane burner
Big kettle(s)
Mash Tun
Wort chiller
Bench capper
Bottles
Fermentation cooler
A pound or pounds of hops
Probed thermometer
Refractometer
The list could go on and on....

I've seen vinators mentioned a couple times since joining the forums. What is it exactly?

At this point my collection includes:

4 gallon brew kettle
Primary fermentation bucket w/ airlock
Bottling bucket w/ spigot
Auto siphon
Thief
Hydrometer
Bottle brush
Elizabeth cap clamp
Grain bag, hop socks
Bottle filler tool
Racking hose

Things that helped improve my beer:

1. Full Boil Size Pot
2. Fermentation chamber to control temp
3. Yeast starter setup
4. Wort Chiller

I think they're more likely to go with something like these;
More ale pails
Extra airlocks
Larger brew kettle
paint strainer bags for biab partial mash beers
Wort chiller
5 & 6 gallon better bottles for aging,oaking,etc
Bottle tree & vinator (Ferrari makes both to be used together)
Starsan & PBW
Long plastic paddle for stiring mash, etc
Dual layer fine mesh strainer
Bucket lid prying tool (def saves sore finger tips!)
Ferrari Super Agata bench capper (no more bottle neck size woes)
Barley Crusher grain mill/7lb hopper (great for steeping or partial mash grains with the smaller 7lb hopper)
5G home Depot bucket for grain mill
Erlynmeyer flask for making starters
SS collander for draining/sparging grain bags, etc
This should due for all the bits needed for anything from AE or E/SG to PB/PM BIAB.:mug:
