Hi all-

Doing a BIG IPA for a birthday brew on Friday. Banging my head again wall here....Using Brewer's Friend (which is great), but the Mash Calculator is driving me nuts. Need help with what my mash Ph is (Thinking 5.45 is a great target)

System is Blichmann BrewEasy, this using full volume of water 11.7

Any thoughts on recipe are appreciated. Have a 3L starter of Imperial "Joystick" (Pacman) on stirplate now, which I will decant. Hoping Pacman will take the FG down much lower than 1.018 (73%)

Thinking I may need to take IBUs down a bit, but Magnum to bitter, then Apollo, El Dorado, I am iffy on the Amarillo: Should I just go with Apollo/El Dorado late? Thinking Dank V super fruity there.

  • Within the recipe editor, it inidcates my mash PH at 5.4
  • Within the linked water calc, it indicated 5.45 (where I want to be)
  • When I hit "Update recipe", nothing happens. Can't seem to align the two.
  • What is my actual mash Ph?

Any thoughts/advice is appreciated!
