Have the ingredients for a Pale Ale, but was thinking about doing a small batch of something stronger tomorrow night. Any thoughts on this recipe for a 3-3.5 gallon batch?

11 lb 2-Row
0.5 lb Caramel 60L

1oz Columbus FWH
1oz Cascade 30min
4oz Cascade Flame-Out

Safale US-05

152 Mash

Any help appreciated! Btw...I have some Amarillo too (2oz) I could play with :mug:

I'd change the 30 min to a 15min instead, add an ounce of ama there, and the other ounce at flameout, hopstand for 15 min or so.

Thanks! I'll probably go with that. Never done cascade and amarillo alone together for flavor/aroma, but I'm sure it'll be good!

Ended up doing the following:

11 lb 2-Row
0.5 lb Caramel 60L
.5lb honey

1oz Columbus FWH
1oz Cascade 30min
1oz Columbus 5 min
4oz Cascade Flame-Out

Safale US-05

152 Mash

Hit about 1.085 OG. Gonna dry hop with a 2oz mix of Cascade and Columbus. This thing is gonna be a beast!
