Been brewing beer occasionally for about 5 years. Been drinking it for 30 plus.:mug:

Got interested in brewing after a trip to Cornwall where we came across a pub called the Napoleon Arms in a little town called Boscastle. The publican introduced my to Fresh Cask beer from the St. Austell Brewery. He had about three beers both ways, fresh cask and hand drawn pump. The fresh cash blew me away.

Since then started brewing a few traditional Bitters and one day hope to try fresh cask myself. And recipes for bitter are welcome as are suggestions where to buy ingredients. I don't know of any more local sources near Greenville, SC.

Welcome to HBT! I too, live in Greenville. Thomas Creek Brewery on Piedmont Hwy and White Horse Rd has a ton of supplies and insight available, also, this is a fantastic source.

Thank you. I know of Thomas Creek and I'll check them out. I'm looking for a good newbie traditional English Bitter recipe. I've brewed about 5 batches of beer with good success. I don't mind taking it up to the next level in terms of difficulty as long as the instructions are clear.

Thanks!
