Not new to brewing, but new to this forum. Well, I've been brewing for around a year now. Extract / partial mash. I still consider myself a novice.

I am currently building a HERMS system out of 3 converted kegs. I can't wait till I get it ready and adjusted. Its been quite a journey! I just got my first all grain kit, a nice Scottish 80 Shilling brew.

I have a home-built kegerator, 5 cubic foot freezer converted to hold 3 coney kegs. It has a sweet brass 3 tap tower. Currently on tap, Honey Hefeweizen, Shiner Bock Clone, London Porter. I have a Shiner Gold clone kegged and lagering. :D

:mug: Welcome I've lived in Ms years ago myself, got allot of family there.
If I can Help I sure will ask a question or answer one .

Hello fellow Mississippian

I'm currently in Clinton MS, just west of Jackson on I-20. Grew up in Clark County south of Meridian, when people ask me where I'm from I always tell em Meridian... as it's easier than explaining that it's close to Stonewall and Clarko State Park!!!!!!! Welcome aboard. I'm a newbie myself, haven't brewed my first batch... yet. Hope to see you around, Mississippi brewers are far and few between!

Thats right, not many around. I've been doing extract /partial mash for a while. All my beer turned out good, some great. It has taught me patience. I started out kegging, too much trouble to me to bottle. I just kept reading about all grain, so I built me a set up. I brewed a partial mash last weekend in the boil kettle. All went well, except the hops restricting my homemade bazooka tube. I guess I'll put my hops in small mesh bags to avoid this.

I'll try my first all grain this weekend. It's good to hear from a fellow Mississippian!
Take care. :mug:

Glad to know someone in central Mississippi knows what they're doing... :)

There's actually a loosely organized brew club in Jackson, I'm sure that'll be an asset for me in my area.

I'd love to stop by your place and sample some free beer, the sooner the better... errr I mean look at your brew setup for ideas!!! :D

Just kidding bout droppin by... unless you want to give me free beer of course!!!
