I'm trying to create a clone recipe, specifically of Harpoon's Belgian Pale Ale. Now if it doesn't turn out exact I'll be okay as long as it's in the right direction, and still tasty. What do you think with my plans so far?

Based on info I found from on the web I tweaked the recipe a bit.
http://www.harpoonbrewery.com/index.cfm?pid=143703 and http://www.massbrewersguild.org/craft-beer/index.php/2010/04/the-harpoon-brewery-introduces-harpoon-belgian-pale-ale/. The place I plan to buy my ingredients from doesn't have Apollo hops so I subbed them out for Magnum in the recipe.

So I brewed this recipe on June 2nd. I overshot my OG by a few points and it fermented out pretty hard. Ended at OG 1.066, and 10 days later am at 1.016. Right now I'm dry hopping it, so I'll wait until that's finished to do an initial taste comparison. But even without a comparison, I can tell this beer is going to be pretty tasty.

did we try it yet. i tried a sample pack of harpoon for the first time,....and it was excellent.

Still have some on tap, the stuff is great. Never got around to doing a direct comparison with the harpoon stuff. But i'd wager it's pretty similar. This beer is worth making - it can hold its own.
