Bottled some Cider last night, started this up back at the middle of January. Racked it into a secondary about 8 days ago. I fermented 4 gallons of Musselman Cider I bought on Walmart.com then added in 1 container of apple frozen concentrate and another gallon of cider for flavor and sugar. I am going to let it carb up for about 5 days before pasteurizing it in my dishwasher.

Started at 1.085 and ended up at 1.012 Hoping with the added gallon of fresh cider I should be around 7.3% ABV.

I ended up using a bunch of left over Tonic Water bottles I have been saving. I also had some nice Grolsch bottles to use.

Good work. Those tonic bottles will do fine... Except for the pasteurizing bit, I don't recommend them for that.

Is carbing in a dishwasher a common process? Seems interesting.

I read that I might have issues pasteurizing in the Dishwasher. I am going to test it out with one bottle and see what happens before I try the whole batch.

I use the dishwasher every time. I have made 7 batches and they have all made it through the dishwasher with no problems
