Hello everyone! Hope every one had great holidays. Santa was great to me this year, and I'm finally stepping up to a 5 gallon setup. I've done a couple one gallon all grain kits which were fun, but a lot of work for just one gallon of beer. I'm about to start on an IPA...here are my ingredients for this batch....
1Lb Briess Dried malt extract
2x 3.3lb Muntons Malt Extract Syrup
1 Lb crushed caramel malt
8 oz crushed victory malt
3 oz Cascade hops AA-5.0%
1 oz Columbus hops AA 13.9%
2 oz Warrior hops AA 16%
I'm supposed to be getting a 36 qt brew kettle and a Bayou Classic sp10 delivered tomorrow. I have some oak chips I was thinking about using but I might use them more my next batch.
Any tips, suggestions, good vibes would be appreciated. I'll be back to document how it all went! I'm in Indiana and would love to find some local home brewers to chat/share beers with as well.
