Finally moving into all grain. Not an official Brew scaffold but workable. Testing the mash tun, held best like a champ, as did the HLT. Using a ChefAlarm with waterproof probe submerged during mashing and double checking every 30 min with a RT600C.

First Brew day is Saturday. Wish me luck! If anybody has any thoughts or advice PLEASE respond! View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1497487745.617736.jpg

Thanks!

I would get a piece of plywood securely attached to the top of the ladder for a wider base for the HLT. 170 degree water falling from there would not be fun.

No harm in moving your mash tun to the porch, from the looks of it.
Probably gonna need that to clear the edge of the kettle once on a burner.
May even be able to put the ladder on the ground, mash tun on the porch and kettle on the ground and still gravity feed everything.
That's 8 or so less inches you won't have to lift a kettle full of scalding water.
