Got a party coming up and need to get some beer in my kegerator. Got nine taps and looking at serving:

1. Pilsner
2. Classic saison
3. DIPA (Ghost in the Machine Clone?)
4. Hoppy ruby saison
5. Raspberry Wheat
6. Bock / Doppel Bock
7. Belgian dubbel
8. Stout
9. Cider / Apple wine

Both for efficiency and to show the value of yeast, doing most of these as split wort batches.

Already brewed pilsner / saison,

Bock / Dubbel, and

Stout was a standalone

Planning on an IPA closer to party this fall

Last two will be split between a saison and simple American raspberry wheat. Does this seem like a different enough saison beer than the one above? Any recommendations on increasing variety in this list? Got 200 friends coming over and would like to have something for everyone.

Thanks for any input guys!

Give away enough beer and you’ll have as many acquaintances as you want!

We have a bunch of kids born the same month and always throw them a combined birthday party with bounce house, etc. the parents tend to come and stay with beer and BBQ around. Ends of being an all day affair out on the property.

Anyone have thoughts on that second saison? Different enough from the first that is fairly classic saaz and Pilsner only?

You will be busy! I have found that Belgians aren’t always popular at parties. I would add a straight up juicy ipa and a pale ale/blonde ale. They will be crushed. Most people won’t know what a bock or saison are unless this is a homebrewing party! Just my two cents. Sounds awesome. Good luck!

I have been floored by the popularity of a simple saison at these things. First beers that float are the raspberry wheat, pilsner, and saison made from pilsner and Saaz. The big Belgians and boozy stouts are for the more adventurous. Made me think of stretching people into a little bit more adventurous saison with this recipe. The Bootleg Biology Mad Fermentationist yeast does all the work for me and I'm happy to tell people about microbes when they are pounding the saison.
