Tasting Notes
barely tilted to the sweet side for IPA, faint pine and assertive grapefruit peel
Fermentables, Mashed at 152°F, Pre boil Gravity 1.039

  • 57% Weyermann Pils Malt
  • 28.5% Munton's Maris Otter
  • 14.5% Munich 10°

Hops
  • .75 oz Northern Brewer, 8%a, pellet- 60 min
  • 1 oz Northern Brewer, 1 oz simcoe 14.4%a- 15 min
  • 1.5 oz Northern Brewer & 2 oz Simcoe- WP
  • 1 oz northern brewer, 3 oz simcoe, dry hopped in keg after lager period

Water
  • Charlotte, NC City water, filtered/treated with campden
  • Ca - 9
  • Mg - 2
  • Na - 6
  • Cl - 7
  • SO4 - 3
  • HCO3 - 23
  • pH - 7.9

A sessionable hoppy beer that won't kill you out on the links or sacrifice flavor.

Super Clear (check it out!), zesty and enjoyable day or night. Next time I'll use chinook in place of the northern brewer in an attempt to up the pine and bring down the herbal quality, but pretty doggone good as is too.

Looks good! Right up my alley with the hop schedule. Will be looking to brew something similar next weekend for our golf tournament!
