Cascade is a Fuggle derivative. Any experience or opinions on using them in combination. Thinking about using this mix in a Honey Brown Ale.

I've used them together quite a few times, especially Willamette and Cascade. Fuggles to me are just more earthy/woody and less citrusy. I think using them together adds some nice complexity that can't be achieved by using one or the other independently.

Yes, actually! I just now took a hydrometer sample of this one:

8 lbs Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM) Grain 39.51 %
8 lbs Vienna Malt (US) (3.5 SRM) Grain 39.51 %
2 lbs Munich Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) Grain 9.88 %
1 lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) Grain 4.94 %
1 lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L (80.0 SRM) Grain 4.94 %

1.25 oz Magnum [15.00 %] (60 min) Hops 25.7 IBU
1.00 oz Cascade [5.40 %] (15 min) Hops 4.1 IBU
1.00 oz Fuggles [4.00 %] (10 min) Hops 2.2 IBU
1.00 oz Cascade [5.40 %] (5 min) Hops 1.6 IBU
1.00 oz Fuggles [4.50 %] (0 min) Hops
1.00 oz Cascade [8.00 %] (Dry Hop 7 days) Hops

It's really good! I always said I didn't like fuggles hops, as they taste like dirt to me. But in combination with cascades, they are really nice!

I haven't dryhopped yet, as it's not quite done. I just took a sample, assuming it was done, but it still has a hint of krausen and is at 1.020. (This is a 10 gallon batch).

Thanks for the input. Here's what I had in mind.
Kind of a darker version on yours Yooper.
No plan to dry hop this one.

Oh, that looks really good! Sorta kinda like an ESB but with HOPS in the flavor and arom. I think it'd be great.

I was planning to mix Fuggle with Columbus. But after smelling the Fuggle, I got scared and gave it away to a buddy.

Fuggle smelled really horrible compared Columbus. I mean it smelled like "lamb feed" pellets you feed the goats at the petting zoo. I was afraid to put that in my beer. Scared to death.

wow, I have never used Fuggles along with Cascade or any of the C hops. I usually just use them in my Porter, sometimes with Perle. I actually like Fuggle. Might have to try this.
