i brewed last night and when i went to attach the wort chiller to the hose, i found it frozen solid. so when my boil finished, i just left the wort in the keggle in the garage (32F) overnight uncovered.
when i got up this morning the wort had chilled down to 37F. i had to warm it up in a hot water bath to pitch the yeast.
are there any clarifying benefits to chilling this low before pitching yeast?
is there any end to the list of things that can go wrong when brewing?
