I'm an avid gardener and grow tomatoes, banana peppers, hot peppers, basil and so on, but I've never tried my hand at hops. I'm starting out with 2 Cascade rhizomes and 2 Centennial rhizomes and going to see how it goes.

I planted in MiracleGrow all organic potting soil which I had good success with my vegetables last year.

Here are the Cascades

And the Centennials (I forgot to take a before)

I'm starting them out in containers, the plan is to eventually plant them in the ground, but I haven't decided if I want to dig up the hillside at the end of my yard yet or not.

Already seeing signs of life!

They look good so far! Do you have a trellis up yet? They grow fast so you definitely need to have space for them to climb ready soon.

Not yet, it's on the plans for this weekend. I just got done working a 90 hr week so I didn't have time yet. But I will get it going
