Two days ago I pulled some yeast out of dump valve on my conical (OG 1.054 FG 1.008). I put it in a mason jar that had been soaking in Star-san. The jar is about half full and there is a line about 50/50 of thick yeast and wort on top.

Should I go ahead and pitch it right in or should I make a starter out of it.

I'm actually considering pulling some out of the conical tomorrow when I need it and pitching it straight into my next batch.

Should be good right?

sounds good to me, not sure what size mason jars you have but assuming that you have enough on the quantity side you certainly don't have issues with viability/freshness. If in doubt, harvest another jar full!
