Hey everyone. I harvested my Cascades yesterday and now I'm already thinking of a recipe for them. I ended up with 5.2 ounces, so hopefully it will end up around 1.5 ounces when dry.
I was thinking of doing a simple American Pale Ale. I'm not sure if they have as much lupulin as they were supposed to because they were kinda neglected and I think I harvested them too late. Because of this, I'll just overestimate how much I need to add.
So when creating a recipe with homegrown hops, I know it's kind of ambiguous, but how would I use them in Beersmith? Could I just select the whole leaf hops option? I'm currently drying them so I think it should translate over similarly. What do you guys do?
