I have and oppurtunity to enter a BJCP judged competition, however my entry
was only bottled today 1-24-15. It needs to be submitted by the 31st. That is only 8 days of bottle conditioning. I am leaning towards submitting if it is carbonated by then, but for those that have entered competitions is it smart to submit a beer that may not be at its "peak"?

The beer is a Scottish Ale 80. It fermented for 20 days and tastes really good.
Thanks for any feed back.

I would go for it! Usually the deadline for submissions and the actual date of the comp are at least a week apart. Carbonation is only a minor part of your score. If it tastes good....send it in.

It sounds like you have your answer, but I always say go for it. It's hard to get unbiased (and educated) feedback from your friends/family.
