I am planning on going after my first all grain attempt. I decided to do a FeankenWheat and wanted to get a bit of professional guidance before I start my brew. I read a few different grain profile and recipes before attempting to design my own beer. I know it isn't anything outrageous I just wanted to see if anything is very out of place or has been tried and did not work out together.

5.5 gal Batch

Grain:
5# amber wheat malt
4.5# pale malt 6row
1.5# Carmel 10L
Rice husks

Hopps
0.75oz Hallertauer(60 min)
0.5oz Cascade(10 min)

Whirlfloc

Yeast
White Labs wlp351 Bavarian weizen

I plan to mash at 154 deg for 75 min and fly sparge.

Any comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like a nice malty wheat pale ale. you might want to use a slightly higher alpha hop at 60 or up the addition of hallertauer to account for a maltier beer and to get a nice balance.

I love wheats, they have a nice complexity to them - consider dry hopping with some cascade too just to get a nice aroma to balance out the malt.
